Passeggiando sul lungomare di Pedaso, città picena in provincia di Fermo, mi sono imbattuto nel murales di una delle mie immagini preferite: “La grande onda di Kanagawa” del pittore giapponese Hokusai.
Difficile resistere alla tentazione di prendere il posto del protagonista che, contariamente a quanto avevo sempre pensato, non è l’onda, ma il sacro monte Fuji che compare sullo sfondo.
La xilografia originale infatti, è la più celebre opera della serie intitolata “Trentasei vedute del Monte Fuji”, prodotte dall’artista giapponese tra il 1826 ed il 1833.
Ecco quindi un ottimo motivo per rispolverare la mia adorata Fuji Xt3 che, nelle mani di mia figlia Agnese, ha immortalato questo istante di serenità.
TRIBUTE TO FUJI
Strolling along the seafront of Pedaso, a Piceno’s city in the province of Fermo, I came across the mural of one of my favorite images: “The great wave of Kanagawa” by the japanese painter Hokusai.
It’s difficult to resist the temptation to take the place of the protagonist who, contrary to what I had always thought, isn’t the wave, but the sacred Mount Fuji that appears in the background.
In fact, the original woodcut is the most famous work of the series entitled “Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji”, produced by the japanese artist between 1826 and 1833.
This was an excellent reason to dust off my beloved Fuji Xt3 that, in the hands of my daughter Agnese, immortalized this moment of serenity.
